Who wouldn't be excited? For starters, it's been overcast the past few days in Hawaii and we expect snow on Mauna Kea. In the land of constant sunshine, a little dreary weather with rain is welcome because it's not like this all of the time in Kailua-Kona, not like it is in Sacramento this time of year. I'm still running around in halter tops and shorts. See, in December, I move to Hawaiii and sell homes in Sacramento from the Big Island.I call this my wor-cation. And I have a brand new listing in Tahoe Park that I'm madly in love with, and you will be, too. Check this out. You can see all the photos and read about it in my personal blog today at this link: A Unique Home in Tahoe Park Real Estate is a New Listing.

Some agents are their own worst enemies. I know you guys know exactly what I mean. The agents who call the listing agents, especially in multiple offer situations, and are extremely rude, demanding and they present a superior attitude, noses in the air. They wrongly think force will win the day and their buyer's offer is so absolutely stupendous that nothing else matters. Pushy arrogance gets them nothing. Well, maybe it works at home or for Donald Trump with his idiot minions, no shortage of stupid people in this world, but it doesn't work in Sacramento real estate. Whenever I take a new listing, I walk through the home to imagine how a buyer will feel, and then I try to convey that feeling to people who read my words. It's a knack some Sacramento Realtors possess. When you're in the business as long as me, which is over 40 years of real estate, you get to immediately recognize the stuff buyers will love when you spot the features. This is such a home in Tahoe Park. It's stunning, and the fact that an artist lives in the home is readily apparent in every room. My father was a horrible and evil person. He would ask me cruel questions and pose unlikely and hurtful scenarios just to be mean. Like when we were fishing one day out of a boat on Forest Lake (Minnesota) with my brother and our dog, Lulu, he threw Lulu into the water and told her to head toward me as I was swimming, thinking it was funny to watch the dog frantically paddle on my head and push me under the water. Then he asked who would I save, if both Lulu and my brother were drowning, and I could save only one, which would it be. Questions that sound innocent but are nasty. Because we deal with enough heartbreak in our life we don't need to manufacture it. What is heartbreaking to me is these two beautiful cats are available for adoption in Sacramento and people are yelling at my clie...

It is early Sunday morning on my birthday, no less, and I got up early to write a blog about my open house today in Colonial Heights. It is one of four open houses I am holding open today, although I am sitting in a living room overlooking the Pacific Ocean, with the pounding surf below my window. No, it is not Hawaii this year. This year we are on the Oregon Coast in a place called Yachats, and it's not pronounced the way I've been calling it. It's more like Yah-HATS!I'll write more about that tomorrow but today I am focused on my open houses. To read about my third open house and see the photos, please continue reading in my personal blog at this link: Open Sunday: Home in Colonial Heights With Guest Quarters. It's a charming brick Tudor!
