Because I've changed companies, I've been busy bopping around the internet changing my profiles on various websites to accurately reflect my new brokerage and affiliation. Which means I go to places that can suck you in. Like Facebook and Twitter. I don't ordinarily frequent those websites because I consider them to be HUGE TIME SUCKS. You can spend all day there and get nothing done. And quite frankly, I have better things to do than hang out on Facebook and Twitter. Like, hey, even visiting Active Rain takes a certain amount of time, but at least I don't feel like I'm SUCKED into it.One of the things I noticed on Twitter is Hillary Clinton changed her profile photo. Take a look at it:What this tells me is she no longer feels like it's OK for people to look at her or for her to even lo...

You know how some homes exude a warm energy when you walk in the door? I realize this sounds a bit touchie-feelie, but there is an energy that most of us can feel. It's falls into the 3-second rule of what a buyer thinks and feels at first blush. Most homes either welcome you or repel or they have no energy at all. And buyers generally know within the first 3 seconds of walking into a home whether they are likely to want it.This East Sacramento home has it all for a first-time home buyer. Including a warm vibe. Yes, it doesn't show as well as it possibly can with all of the seller's personal belongings in the home, but you can see through that, right? No? Well, try!! You can roll up the carpeting and probably find the same beautiful hardwood floors that show in the hall and bedroom clos...

As I wrote my blog, I wondered to myself if I should make any comments about the location of this new restaurant in East Sacramento. Finally I decided other people will make the distinction, so as a Realtor I should mention it. Although some people say East Sacramento does not extend past J Street, everybody knows it does. The people who say that live on the other side of J Street, LOL.Then there is the Med Center and the Alhambra Corridor, which also creep into our East Sacramento boundaries. I mean, tell my client Joe who lived on Santa Ynez next to the school for 60 years that he didn't live in East Sacramento and he would bonk ya on the head with the Business Journal. The area where this new restaurant is located is undergoing renovation. You can see it in the revitalization of all ...

As the old listing agent told me when I listed this: third agent is a charm. But there are things I do differently as a top-producing Sacramento Realtor, and it's why sellers hire me. I always look for all of the angles. Search for creative ways to bring attention to my new listings. In fact, you could say I turn dark clouds into silver linings. For example, this listing is not yet ready for primetime MLS exposure. The reason is the seller could not spruce up the place, get it staged and have us shoot professional photos until Monday. Should that stop us from marketing this remarkable East Sacramento home in our hot seller's market? Should that stop us from holding an open house on Sunday for our Lyon Extravaganza? I say nuh, nuh.We just signed an MLS waiver. You can read more in my pers...

With great pleasure due to an easy escrow, we just closed the sale of the most expensive home in the cluster of new homes near East Sacramento. Number 6 Delcan Court just closed yesterday at $485,000, and made a new homeowner pretty excited. She's getting a brand new home a stone's throw from East Sacramento over by Elmhurst, with 3 master suites, a garage, and a huge yard. But guess what? You can still buy a brand new home near East Sacramento. See the photos and ready more in my personal blog today at this link: Three Houses Left in Sacramento New Homes Development.

It Looks Like You Have Had Termites   The signs of termites were clear. The droppings, tunneled wood studs were classic indications of a termite infestation. The good news?... They were not active at this time. It is not clear why the activity stopped but it did. So what do you do now?  Contact a contractor with experience in termite damage repair in Sacramento.

Before Millennials can move into the new McKinley Village housing development in East Sacramento, they will have to get a job and hold that job for a minimum of two years. Given our current state of affairs, that could prove to be troublesome.Take my niece, for example. She is now 23, still struggling to get through college as a straight A-plus student because she can't get the classes she needs, and she faces the strong possiblity that even when she finishes, there will be no job for her apart from that of a sales clerk, which she does now. She's not all that unusual than any other millennial, and she has the tattoos and earlobe distortments to prove it.You can read more in my personal blog today about The Skinny on the McKinley Village Housing Development in East Sacramento.
