This one is for all you agents and consumers who have lost hope in open houses.  Oh, ye of little faith.  The chances of selling the house you're holding open may be no bigger than a mustard seed, but given the chance, an open house can still be a powerful marketing tool.  I pulled a double hitter this weekend at my new listing on Phantom Drive in Rancho Palos Verdes.  It was a glorious weekend in Southern California.  The entrance to the Ladera Linda neighborhood is directly across from Donald Trump's golf course and clubhouse.  Hiking trails lace the bluffs above the ocean and picnic tables dot the landscape.  The soccer field in the distance was scheduled overtime with games on both Saturday and Sunday.  There was a steady stream of traffic along Palos Verdes Drive South--all passing...

A coaliton of homeowners calling themselves "Rancho Palos Verdes Neighbors for Community Compatability" has sued the St. John Fisher Catholic Church and the City of Rancho Palos Verdes claiming that the parties failed to comply with state environmental laws in approving the expansion plans of the Church. These plans include a 17,000 square foot sanctuary with a 7f4 foot lighted cross and several other new buildings. Church leaders believe that they have worked hard to compromise with neighbors concerns over noise and traffic and believe that they have complied with all legal requirements.
