There are so many benefits, besides the obvious physical, one enjoys when walking the trails near the ocean bluffs in Rancho Palos Verdes.  The view pleases the eyes, the sound and smell of the surf pleases other senses.  The connection of feet to unpaved earth has its own rewards as well. Living life in Los Angeles County comes with its own set of stresses to be sure. To no one's surprise we were recently recognized as having the worst traffic in the country.  What wasn't mentioned was we also have some of the best weather and most beautiful landscape as well.  Mother Nature was very generous when she doled out gifts of beauty to the Palos Verdes coastline.  Life is about balancing the good and the bad.  There's nothing like arriving home to Palos Verdes after enduring a dose of "freew...

The hiking trails along Palos Verdes Drive South are well-traveled by these feet of mine.  Sometimes I'm treated to whales or dolphins frolicking along the shoreline, but on this particular day my timing was perfect to see the cliffs and coastline enveloped by clouds. The trails were soon obscured from sight and I finished my walk amid the misty fog.
