I guess I'm not a "Yes" broker. Yesterday I said "No"to listing a luxury home in the South Bay of Los Angeles.  At least for the time being. Condos and townhomes are available in some neighborhoods of Palos Verdes, particularly around the commercial centers. Some are built in areas with amazing views of the coast or the city of Los Angeles, others provide amenities such as pools and tennis courts.Palos Verdes Estates has a limited number of condo/townhome developments around the Lunada Bay plaza and Malaga Cove plaza. I had to smile when I read a blog post written in February 2007.  My youngest son had recently returned from Iraq after two tours of duty.  He worked as my assistant as he adjusted to civilian life. I changed my work environment to accommodate our change in office space requirements.  Little did I know the real estate market was about to crash and recovery would not occur for several years. As the market declined to depths not seen since the Great Depression, I was resolute in my determination to survive and even thrive.  If my son could survive the challenges of being in a war zone and cope with the after-effects of post traumatic stress, surely I could find the willpower and courage to ride out a faltering real estate market. I'm happy to say not only did we both survive the challenge...
