The Great American Shakeout 2012  Earthquake Preparedness Yesterday on October 18, 2012 at 10:20 a.m, over 14 million people all over the United States and other parts of the world participated in the Great American Shakeout. It was first started in California in 2008 where governmental offices and schools teamed up with law enforcement, fire departments, business leaders, community activists and medical staff at local hospitals. It is a simulation of a high magnitude earthquake and everyone is given a role. Kids and employees may be bystanders, injured persons or employees. I lost my dad just over six months ago, and it was quite unexpected for us all. The last six months have been a roller coaster of emotions, and sometimes absolutely overwhelming. This past weekend, my family and I honored a tradition he had started by heading back to Notre Dame, to spend time as a family, remember our time with him and enjoy each other. More than a few things have been happening, and it may all be a coincidence, but I think not... Dolphins Today at Huntington Beach, CA Today while I was standing at the end of the pier at Huntington Beach, CA., much to my surprise someone yelled “Dolphins” and yes there they were. There was a pair of them right in front of me and then dove into the water. The pair popped up two more times but never any big jumps. I was so excited as I think Dolphins are very special. Scientists believe they are the clue to secrets of our world. I have read they are extremely smart and have human-like characteristics. This event caused Americans to open their eyes to the real threat around us and to never forget!   While in Pennsylvania in July 2011, we visited Shanksville which is the site where United Flight 93 crashed. The plane had been hijacked by terrorists was downed by the brave 36 passengers/4 crew members onboard. They were able to use their cell phones and learned what had just occurred in New York. They realized this plane was heading towards Washington DC. This means you need to contact them daily, set them up with a lender to get prequalified, constantly send them comps to view on the internet, and take good care of them or….they will fly away forever.   If you haven't driven down Etiwanda Ave lately in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, you may be in for a pleasant surprise!  Yes, we now have a windmill, or wind turbine (the technical term for it)... After passing it for the first time a week ago, I did a little research and have provided links to more information that you may find useful. Citigroup Has A Foreclosure Rental Program..   Citigroup is getting into the Rental business, at least it says it is.  Citigroup launched a prorgam to rent out 500 homes to homeowners who are having trouble paying their mortgage, rather than put the loans in foreclosure and kick the owners out. Citigroup is becoming the second largest bank - since Bank of America launched a similar program to rent in March to try out a rental program that would alleviate some of the pain of foreclosure.   It seems to be a step in the right direction as it relates to rental programs..     So if you have have a Citigroup Loan call your Bank/Lender and get the process going.. 08/31/2012
