  A 1,000 Pound Fish Will Net a Lot of Sushi or Tuna Sandwiches Mark Towers of Ghana was on an expedition in the eastern tip of Nova Scotia today and landed a 1,000 Atlantic Bluefin Tuna. It only took him 2 hours to land but it was so massive that it required a tow into port and a forklift to get it onto the dock.   Unfortunately it does not break the world record as a 1496 pound fish was caught in 1979 in the waters of Nova Scotia.   It is being sold for $32,000 to a buyer in Japan.
