2012 Pebble Beach AT&T Pro-Am Volunteers Needed   Happy Holidays!I can't believe I am writing this email again!  It seems like it was just a couple of months ago that we were all getting together to volunteer for the AT&T.  As you all know, this event brings in millions of dollars each year to needed charities in Monterey County.  As a matter of fact, it is my understanding that last year they topped over $7,000,000 for charity and the grand total raised by this event alone over the years topped $100,000,000!!!  This is all thanks to the hard work the thousands of volunteers put in each year!  What a great community we live in!   This year the tourney starts Monday February 6th and goes through Sunday February 12th.  We need people all days of the event, but especially Thursday, Friday...

Pebble Beach Home Prices Pebble Beach, California has long been a highly sought after destination.  While best known for it's luxxury resorts and world class golf courses, it is a great place to live. One of the great things about this area is that one must enter one of five guard gates in Carmel or Pacific Grove for access to this deligtful haven.   Although Pebble Beach has grown since I moved there in 1965, some things are timeless in this enchanted forest.  The ocean still crashes on the rugged rocks, one can still walk or ride their bike along the shore, and have a picnic on the sand at Seal Rock or along Spanish Bay, stroll along the beach with your favoriate canine friend, golf on one of the fabulous courses...  Below is a link to view a current market snapshot of homes for sale ...

Pebble Beach is a magical place, where beautiful scenery, world champion golf, and a serene lifestyle await you.  I grew up in this magetic place...never appreciated it's beauty until I grew up.  It was just "home".  I remember wanting to get out so bad when I was 18.  I used to sit in class at USC in Los Angeles, and imagine myself at the beach, or sitting in the park in Carmel.  We are so lucky to be able to live here.  I am an expert in the area...having lived there  my whole life.  I would love to help you find your dream home in Pebble Beach.  I have listed some of the current single family offerings..there are others in lower price ranges.  The lowest priced property is in the $700,000-$800,000 range.  There are a few condos that are even lower priced.  Become a part of Pebble B...

Pebble Beach Food And Wine A great event...I volunteered this year and had a great time.  This was the fourth annual and  I am in awe at the tireless efforts of all of those involved in this event.  From the Co-Founders David Allan Bernahl, II and Robert Weakley, to the staff at Pebble Beach Co, the chefs, restaurants, volunteers, sponsors,...it is an amazing event.  To have an event this big run so smoothly is incredible. 6,000 people attended as well as 97 acclaimed chefs, countless wineries and local sponsors.    This event directly benefits local charities CASA of Monterey County, The Boys and Girls Club, and Monterey County Wine Educational Foundation.  All charitable organizations that foster the happiness and development of children.  I volunteered for the kick off on Thursday, a...

Here is a shot I took of the famous Lone Cypress Tree in Pebble Beach.  It was a beautiful evening with a great sunset and the surf was pretty active.  What a beautiful subject to take photos of.  I took over 200 photos that evening of the Cypress and finally the light failed me and it was time to pack it in. If you have been to Pebble Beach, you have certainly seen the Lone Cypress.  If you haven't been here, here is a little piece of the beautiful Monterey Peninsula that will hopefully entice you to make the trip.  You will not be sorry you did! This photograph was taken with a Canon 5d Mark II.  To see more pictures of the Monterey Peninsula you can check out www.MarkBrunoPhotography.com.

Stormwater can pick up debris, chemicals, dirt, and other pollutants and flow into a storm sewer system or directly to a lake, stream, wetland, or rivers. Anything that enters a storm sewer system is discharged untreated into the water bodies we use for swimming, fishing, and providing drinking water. The effects of pollution Polluted stormwater runoff can have many adverse effects on plants, fish, animals, and people. Sediment can cloud the water and make it difficult or impossible for aquatic plants to grow. Sediment also can destroy aquatic habitats. Excess nutrients can cause algae blooms. When algae die, they sink to the bottom and decompose in a process that removes oxygen from the water. Fish and other aquatic organisms can't exist in water with low dissolved oxygen levels. Bact...

OK, it was only a dusting...Or maybe even a lot of hail, but it sure is exciting for us sealevelers!  I woke up yesterday morning to this on the ground!  How cool is that.  I should tell you that we never see the white stuff here.  The snow level might get down to 1000 ft or so, but never right by the ocean.

Pebble Beach, CA.   Pebble Beach is a small gated community with great golf courses and scenery. Current gate fee is $9.25 but is free for bicyclists. You will receive a map of the attractions along 17 mile drive. If you know someone there you can have them call the gate and get you in for free. If you have not driven or biked the famous "Seventeen Mile Drive", then you are missing out. The coastline is incredible with lots of wild life. You may want to time your visit to watch the sunset at a number of incredible locations. Be prepared to stop often and take alot of photos! Although Monterey County is showing a large drop in average and median price over the past several months, Pebble Beach is holding it's own!  Sales have been steady and most areas are holding value quite well under the current market pressures.  We are actually ahead of last years sales figures!  Who would have figured that with all the negative press!!! Inventory is healthy, but not too far out of line for this high end community where it normally takes longer to sell a property.  There are some fantastic buys for second home buyers that want a piece of prime real estate.  A modest country club side home in Pebble Beach is running right around $1,000,000.  Something on the more prestigous estate side can cost you quite a bit more, depending on the view. To drill down even deeper, try ...

Yesterday, I took the day off and went to The Spa in Pebble Beach. This is the best way to pamper yourself; really there is just nothing else like it. The faculties are phenomenal and include separate his and her areas with hot tubs, steam rooms, saunas & inhalation rooms plus the co-ed area, conservatory with new oval room that is heated by the gas log fire pit. Staffing is exceptional. From the moment you walk in the door tranquility will embrace you. Here are five things to make your day amazing: Check schedules-make sure there is not a big function going on in Pebble Beach. Mid-week and Sundays seem to be the least crowded. Arrive early- make a day of it; the price of your treatment includes use of all the facilities. Order lunch when you arrive- request your lunch at a specific time ...

This is the week of the AT&T Pro-Am Golf Tournement in Pebble Beach.  These pictures were taken on the Pebble Beach Golf course on February 6, 2007.  The setting is spectacular from the brilliant green color of the greens, to the numerous shades of blue as one looks over the golf course to the ocean and the sky beyond. Fans are only allowed to take pictures during the practice rounds.  During the tournement on the weekend, only professional photographers can take their cameras to the course.  Everything is all set up for the crowds of thousands that are expected here this weekend.  The greens are in top condition and all the facilities are in place to accomodate pros, celebrities and fans. The 18th hole is directly in front of the Pebble Beach Lodge.  As we stood near there yesterday, a...
