I was reading in the New York Times about how young people are really changing the marketing when it comes to wine. They're drinking a ton of it and are becoming quite finicky about types and tastes! My area of California, the resort area of the Palm Springs Valley, has responded with some amazing wine cellars at some of our local haunts. Here are a few examples. Castelli's Ristorante: Palm Desert, California. Sommelier, John Coniff, keeps approx. 1,000 bottles of 240 wine brands in the cellar, mostly reds to go with the Italian cuisine. The Wine Bar in Old Town La Quinta: Strictly wine, and some light foods. Wine tastings and wine education is offered, and flights may be purchased with healthy pours!
