Are we going to experience inflation or deflation?  If you go to the supermarket, the gas station, or the hospital, you can see the prices shooting up.  But look at the wages, they are stagnant.  Then you have the Euro Zone that seems to be in a major recession with all the problems in Cyprus, Greece, Spain and Italy.  How long will that Union last? Checkout my web page at www.myslohomefinder.com for all your San Luis Obispo real estate search needs. Today there is no data.  It's Saturday!!!   The US calendar is light but Cyprus is the focus in any case as it scrambles to win European support for a banking overhaul.   Dow is trading at 14,519+96.39 the 10 yr bond is at 1.93 from 1.93 Yesterday, . WHALE WATCHING IN MORRO BAY, CALIFORNIA         Whale watching in Morro Bay, CA is a great way to spend your next Central Coast vacation. It's one of the most popular activities in coastal California, and something not to be missed if you're in the area.   Twice a year the California Gray Whale migrates from its feeding grounds in the Bering Straits to the breeding grounds off Baja, California – and back again. Morro Bay is a great place to view these magnificent whales as they travel on their journey.   There are three main species of whale that frequent the California Central Coast; Gray Whales, Blue Whales, and Humpback Whales. Additionally, Killer Whales are often seen in the coastal waters. There's plenty of opportunities to view other spectacular sea life; including dolphins, sea ...

Mobile homes appeal to many people who appreciate their lower initial cost, ease of upkeep, friendliness of park living, etc. But rarely are they considered to be a true real estate investment. In fact, they are more likely to lose value than to appreciate, as stick-built homes normally do. However, I am in the middle of a deal (representing the buyers) involving a middle-aged mobile home in a park that has received no less than SEVEN offers, most above asking price and most also all cash. We're not talking a triple-wide fantasy home worth $200,000 or more; rather, a nice but ordinary older home (built in 1981) in good condition but pretty dated and needing new carpeting. In fact, the one stand-out quality this mobile home has is its nice view: If I had doubts about how the market has t...

Review of Home Sales & Median Sales Prices in Morro Bay : 2009 to 2011   2009 2010 2011 Sales 108 112 158 Median Sales Prices $509,750 $451,000 $400,000 Avg. Days on Market 151 128 144   A review of the past three years' median sales prices in Morro Bay shows an almost consistent decrease in sales prices.  In 2010, the median sales prices declined by about 11.5% when compared to the same period a year ago.  A year later in 2011, the median sales prices dropped by about 11.3%. The lower sales prices probably led to the spike in the number of homes sold in 2011 where 46 more homes were sold, or an increase of about 41%, when compared to 2010. Interestingly, the average number of days needed to sell a home in Morro Bay declined by 23 days in 2010, and went up by 21 days a year later. Notwi...

These beautiful coastal communities are still struggling to overcome economic issues and begin a real estate rebound. Looking at single-family homes, condos, and PUDs, prices have drifted downward since the first of the year. Price per square foot has gone from $337 to $262 at the end of November.   Prices on for sale versus sold homes have been somewehat erratic. For sale prices have maintained an average in the low to mid $700,000 range, while sold home prices have jumped from $554,000 to $429,000 to $639,000, finally ending up at $452,000 at the end of November.   The big improvement, however, has been in the inventory of available homes for sale. This has dropped from a high of 12.3 months in January to about 7.5 at the end of November, signaling that the extreme buyers' market is...

It's okay to say "Merry Christmas"!  With our anti-Christian media being fueled so strongly by enemy forces, the basic fundamentals of our faith are constantly being challenged.  Children no longer take a "Christmas break" and in many schools are NOT allowed to share why they celebrate Christmas. Sadly, Christmas is under attack like never before, as store clerks are told to say "Happy Holidays" so they won't offend non-Christians.  Did you know that you have the RIGHT to say "Merry Christmas" and it's a positive message! It's not about the presents under the tree, the turkey dinner, or Santa Claus. It's about the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and our remembrance of his gift to us. From AFA is a great reminder that we can share as a positive message to those we meet every day.  It's okay to...

The post office "agrees that their agency does not have a sustainable business model" and may default on a pension plan payment due next month.  Read below for the full article... "Postal Service may default on a $5.5 billion trust fund payment" by Paul Courson Washington (CNN) -- The U.S. Postal Service does not have the money to meet an obligation to a retiree health care trust fund coming due at the end of the month, but if there's a default, officials promise no interruption in the mail, the payroll or payments to suppliers. Commenting in response to a New York Times article Monday suggesting that the Postal Service may have to shut down within months, spokeswoman Yvonne Yoerger said there's "nothing actually new in the Postal Service's position." "We are required to make this $5.5 ...
