Baby Gorilla Born By C-Section at San Diego Zoo in Intensive Care Unit  Photo by San Diego Zoo     Last week, a San Diego's Zoo 18 year old Gorilla, Imani, was in labor with her first baby but was having complications. The San Diego Zoo Global Team determined that the fetus was at risk so they decided to perform a C-Section on the gorilla. The team of doctors included the Global Team, and a local veterinarian surgeon and a neonatal specialist from UC San Diego Medical Center.   The 4.6 female gorilla was healthy but then started having respitory difficulties. An x-ray determined she had a collasped lung and surgery was performed immediatley. The baby gorilla is resting comfortably and is being given oxygen and fluids. She is currently at the San Diego Zoo Safairi Park Intensive Care Uni...

"Homeownership is for suckers!" -I don't think so, Todd Schoenberger  This guy is off his rocker! I'm glad someone on the show asked him if he owns any real estate, or the home he lives in! Yeah, he bought at the top! It sucked! But now buyers can get much better prices and values are rising. Don't discourage people just 'cause you got burned, Todd! Sometimes these fund managers will make bold statements just to get on T.V. and get attention for their funds. Need to sell your Beaumont CA Home? Call (888) 9-List-It. That's (888) 954-7848.

MLS Pictures I Put in by Mistake Today I was working on a file and double checking I had changed the status. I thought I would do my AVID (Agent's Visual Inspection Disclosure) and I always review the 50+ pictures in my file. I checked out the MLS and to my horror, I had put in two pictures that should not have been there. Here I am taking a picture of one of the bathrooms.   And here I am taking a picture of the upstairs hall bathroom. So my suggestion to everyone, is to review your mirror pictures and probably all your pictures. I had leveled and cropped them but obviously I did not review them carefully enough. I have since replaced them with the better ones. I was in a hurry and it was late at night and that just shows I should not be more careful when I am tired. Just a reminder fo...

Do You Text, Email and Snail Mail Out Greeting Cards to Friends & Clients? I have to admit I do not always get my cards in the mail on 'every' holiday even though I try very hard. I will buy them, print labels and even buy the stamps but sometimes I just get some or none at all sent. I suspect I am not alone here. I did get Valentine Day cards out last Tuesday but the weather was so bad many people in other states have still not received them but they will next week hopefully. I try to remember 'Birthdays' and other memorable events and even have reminders that come in my email to help me remember. In the past 6 months I have started texting to my friends and clients. I find a cute logo such as a cake with candles, a wreath saying Happy Holidays, Hearts...etc. and I email it to myself. ...

The Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel   1 Market Place, San Diego, California,USA, 92101 Tel: 619 232 1234 Fax: 619 233 6464 Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel This week I attended the Women's Council of Realtor's Convention in San Diego and stayed at the Manchester Hyatt Hotel which had sponsored the event. First of all it was so easy to get to off the freeway and straight down to the water and there it was just past the USS Midway Ship which is docked there.   We were checked in within 5 minutes and and our bags were up to our rooms within 10 minutes by the Bellboy along with complimentary bottled water and a great introduction to all the amenities in our room like the safe located in the closet and the frig. He showed us how to reset the safe code and brought us extra hangers and pillows. For t...

San Diego Zoo Says Good-Bye to 4 yr Panda, Yun Zi   San Diego has one of the great zoos in the country and one of the few zoos who has a Panda Exhibit. On Jan 9, 2014, San Diego Zoo sent their 4 year old panda, Yun Zi, back to his homeland in China. A few weeks ago, the staff started crate training. They let him explore and eat inside the crate so he would get used to it. Later they started giving him food and snacks through the holes in the crate. He was crated up and traveled by vehicle to LAX where he was loaded on a plane along with his zoo keeper, Jen, who had been with him since his birth plus a zoo veternarian was along on the trip in case he had any problems. They had changed his food in the past few months to get him used to the different food he will be feed back in China. A...

Today is National Amber Alert Awareness Day   Annually on January 13th, the Department of Justice’s Office of Justice Programs (OJP) observes the horrible day in 1996 when 9 year-old Amber Hagerman was abducted in Arlington, Texas, while riding her bicycle. Good things come from bad situations so after Amber’ abduction and brutal murder, the nationwide program was created called AMBER which stands for America's Missing: Broadcast Emergency Response. On this day, January 13th of every year, we are reminded that we must commit ourselves to remain alert to each and every broadcast we see. We see Amber Alerts on Freeway Signs, Airport and Truck Signs, TV, Lottery Signs, Yahoo, Facebook, AOL, Radio and Law Enforcement broadcasts Because of AMBER Alerts, 602 abducted children have been succes...

Red-Tailed Hawk up in the Clouds Early this morning on an extremely overcast day, while walking I saw this Red-Tailed Hawk sitting up on a light post. I tried to get closer but he flew off as my dog must have disturbed his food hunt. Viewing nature is so exciting and always a surprise. Thanks for Reading my Blog

Crescent Moon - The Beauty of the Moon Crescent Moon - The Beauty of the Moon The moon is fasinating and I am especially fond of the full moons each month. On November 5, 2013, the crescent moon (7%) was so beautiful and bright against the black sky.           Moon myths and legends are so important and have been passed down for hundreds of years going back to King Solomon. "Crescent Moons" are popular used in paintings and jewelry.   Are you fasinated by the moon?           Thanks for Reading my Blog   California is a dream-come-true state no matter what your needs or wants are. Are Home Inspections Important When Buying a House .........Absolutely   It is your choice to have a home inspection but I highly recommend you do. The home inspector goes through the entire home and looks for minor items but more importantly looks for major issues that can be red flags about the property. Major roof leaks, any kind of major water intrusion problem, HVAC not repairable, appliances not working, cracks in the foundation, electrical problems that could cause fires. You will spend approximately $225-$350 to hire a home inspector and this will give you peace of mind before closing escrow. Better to know now then to be surprised later. Here are some pictures of the home inspection I attended last Sunday. My buyer had to work, so I was there for him.           American West Ho...

What Is A Moreno Valley Short Sale, And Why Would A Bank Consider It? Simply stated, a Moreno Valley short sale occurs when the bank accepts an offer on your home that is less than what is owed on the mortgage. For example, let’s say you owe $300,000 on your home in Moreno Valley, and the market value is $150,000. Our Moreno Valley short sale agent team lists the property for sale, and receives an offer of $150,000. Basically, we are “shorting” the bank $150,000. In doing so, your lender will “forgive” the debt and allow you to move on with your life. Banks accept Moreno Valley short sales because they are better for their bottom line, when compared to foreclosure. A typical foreclosure will cost the bank anywhere from $15,000-$50,000 in legal fees, maintenance costs, utilities, etc. A ...
