Speechless Sundays: Who was the head chef in your home on Thanksgiving? Well in all fairness, in our home it was Holly. The photos are a bit old, but you get the idea. Five years ago, feels like yesterday to me.Thanksgiving has too many chefs if you asked me. Hope you had a very Happy Thanksgiving and have enjoyed the leftovers. Wishing everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving, I wanted to thank all of you who follow my posts, interact with me and most importantly, thank you for your friendship.Most of the menu has been prepped by me and tomorrow will be easy. As you can see even the table is set.Things to do tomorrow: Bake the brined Turkey and then finish off the side dishes that are already oven ready.The only thing left to do is make the mashed potatoes. I am still thorn which style I will make it? Will it be Robuchon Style or Julia Child's style or my own style? Anytime one prepares for a big meal, you need to plan ahead, and prioritize. Just like in Real Estate, you need to plan ahead and prioritize what needs to be done early and what can be done later.Well with that said no I did not buy the can that looks like it came from a dog food container.Her it is truly an easy recipe:    1. 12 oz or so of freshly washed cranberries and the ones that needed to be tossed have been.    2. 3/4 cup of fresh squeezed orange juice & 1/4 of water    3. 1/2 cup of sugar of your choice    4. One cinnamon stick    5. pinch of salt    6. slice of orange peelCook for about 10-15 minutes to reduce the liquid and pop 75-80% of the cranberries.Let it cool and put it in the fridge to be served in 24-48 hours at the Thanksgiving Dinner. Wishing you a safe and healthy ... 11/26/2024

Speechless Sundays: Grateful for friends who read my posts... as most of you who read my posts noticed that I did some Thanksgiving decorations outside our door. Yes, Diane helped as well. The bottom line was if you look at the above photo you will notice that the table was empty. One of our friends saw the post and drove by and dropped off a perfect plant for the spot, well see for yourself.  Thank you, Salli, if you are reading it, we love it. On a side note, did you see I took one of the Pumpkins and made soup out of it?
