The Real EstateThe Lawrence Hughes designed championship golf course opened in 1959 and real estate soon followed.  Because each enclave of homes and neighborhoods were built  and developed over time, there are multiple HOA's. There are several gates to access the homes, some with guards, others with key/cards and clickers. The country club itself can only be accessed by car from its front gate, but you can drive  there from the neighborhoods in your golf cart. It wasn't listed, but the sign was still up. So I sold it!I live and work in La Quinta CA, in the Palm Springs area,  and specifically in the La Quinta Country Club neighborhood.   There was a neglected  home on the 4th tee in Montero Estates, of our club that had been vacant for over 20 years.  Last summer a family estate sale resulted in a young couple aquiring it and renovating it.  They worked on it for months inside and out while we watched.  Then a for sale sign went up, the owner was a Realtor from San Diego.   They had found out they were having their 3rd child and decided they needed to sell.  But they changed their mind and then took it off the market, it vanished off the MLS.  The sign remained.  I had seen the home, and loved the contemporary lines, cool colors, ceramice til... 06/18/2019
