One shouldn't expect to see many homes in "The Landings" on the market for sale, (usually they're snapped up pretty fast!), however, right now three are listed, (all in Landing I), including my listing at 12 Silverbreeze, a gorgeous home, priced at $1,375,000.    Also Active are 4 Cottoncloud, an NOD listing, priced at $1,300,000, and 27 Earlymorn, still priced at $1,250,000, after 238 days on the market. The 100% financing VA loan limits for Orange County in 2014 actually went up. The 2013 VA loan limit was $668,750, but for 2014 the 100% VA loan limit will be $687,500. About 6,500 people took place in this morning's Half Marathon and 5K race in Woodbridge, Irvine.HERE's a video clip. A Half Marathon is 13.1 miles and a 5K race, (5,000 meters), is 3.1 miles. A lot of the serious runners used today's fun and fast race to prepare for all the great runs that are coming up, like the Surf City Marathon, the LA Marathon, the Boston Marathon, and the OC Marathon. Chip timing was used, (a chip imbedded in the bib number) in this year's Half Marathon and 5K race, and a T-shirt and a great “goodie” bag were available.I am happy to have sponsored mile-marker #1 to help support Woodbridge High School athletics and other Irvine Schools. If you didn't make it down here today, think about coming next year. It's always a lot of fun.

As announced on December 6, 2014 in the FHA Mortgagee Letter 2013-43, FHA loan limits in Orange County will be lower in 2014 versus 2013. The CalVet loan program is for purchases only. CalVet borrowers wishing to refinance will need to do it into another type of home loan. The most logical type of loan is the standard VA home loan. In high cost areas of California, like Orange County, the CalVet loan program has not been too popular over the past few years for a couple of reasons. First, the 100% loan limit for a standard VA loan tends to be higher than allowed with CalVet. In 2013 a Veteran buying a home with no down payment in Orange County can go as high as $668,750.
