Yesterday was the first day of League competition at both the Empire Polo Club and the Eldorado Polo Club..lots of polo with teams and horses testing their fitness and strategies.  Our Polo is such a unique event in our Palm Springs Valley..I hope that our seasonal visitors and snowbirds take the time to come out and experience it for themselves! A few fun facts about coming to the polo games in Indio 1.  Cost?  Ranging on days..from FREE to maybe $5/car..very affordable! 2.  What to wear?  Forget Pretty Woman and dress for comfort.  Jeans and flat shoes so you can go "stomp divots" at half time.  There ARE people that dress up and they are very welcome, but I suggest comfort. 3.  I don't know the game?  No worries here.  The announcers at both clubs are supurb at explaining what is goi... 01/05/2013

Polo Fields are HUGE..one of the reasons there are so many other activities held on them.  Soccer games, weddings, LaCross and this weekend only, the International Dog Show! This is a yearly event held at the Empire Polo Fields in Indio, Calif.  They are expecting approx. 10,000 people to attend this year!  Unbelievable.  I have to say it's very organized and there is a ton of parking.  If you are planning on attending, be sure to use the entry off of Monroe Avenue in Indio.  It's all set up for easy access into the club and there is a ton of parking available.  Parking attendants and people that can help you figure out where to go if you are a participant and also if you are just there to watch a few classes.  While you're visiting town, you might want to look at properties for sale.  ... 01/03/2013
