While running thru my workout this morning at my Curves, I saw they had posted a notice on on of the boards for all of us to see. Ramona Elementary School in Hemet, CA is asking for donations of the following items: 500 boxes of #2 pencils (1box=144 pencils) 2200 boxes of Crayola Crayons (16 crayons per box) 150 packages of dry erase markers (10 per pkg) 175 packages of dry erase markers (6 per pkg) 500 reams of notebook paper I think it is a great thing to get the community involved, but what happened, first of all, to giving parents a list of items for their child to bring to school. Second of all, where is all the federal school funding.  Oh, wait!  I remember.....we are giving it all to the politicians.  In fact, for those of you outside California, we are having quite a debacle ove...

According to an article I just read on the website for Bautista Creek Elementary School, here in sunny Hemet California, they will be offering a savings program for their students (approximately 950 to be almost exact). The program, sponsored by Altura Credit Union, will be called My Money -- My School Savings.  What a cool thing.  I remember, back when dinosaurs roamed the earth, and I was in elementary school, we used to take a nickel for milk, and we also took money each week for our savings account.  We had the same type of program, I believe, with the local bank.  It was great.  We got our own little green passbook, (wow, am I dating myself or what?).  And we watched our savings grow. Altura Credit Union, in conjuction with the administration at Bautista Creek Elementary School, wi...

Yippee, Hurray,  Another school year begins soon, and the children will be in school, and the moms/dads/grandparents/babysitter/etc. will not have to hear " I'm bored, there's nothing to do" any longer. Have a new listing for a bank owned REO home for sale that just went on the market - it has been very popular with agents wanting to see it...Home is located just a block away from Hemet High School Here are the comments I put in the MLS: Well taken care of East Hemet Ranch Style Home located only 1 block from California Distinguished School, Hemet High School in a very desirable area of the local valley. This home is actually in the unincorporated area of Riverside County. You will be impressed from the curb with the low maintenance rock-scape which is continued throughout the backyard. When entering the front door, you ll be delighted with the custom stained glass sidelight as you make your way into the foyer, illuminated with its overhead skylight. To the left is the passage to the 3...

I received this photo taken by the NASA Terra satellite on August 30, 2009.  Here you can see all of Southern California and get a pretty good idea of just how much was on fire at the time.  If you look to the South East - you'll see a small lake that is pretty much surrounded by burnt area - well, that fire, known as the 2400 acre COTTONWOOD FIRE came within a mile of my home in Hemet,  Fortunately the winds were blowing the other way and there were no evacuations or injuries/casualties.Follow this link if you want to see a series of 41 photos - mostly taken from the deadly STATION FIRE.

Asking a Hemet, CA homeowner if they can save their home from foreclosure is a loaded question - one that cannot be clearly answered yes or no without exploring the options.  There are multiple alternatives that are explored here in my blog and that I have published in my book, "What You Need to Know About Foreclosure and How You Can Stop It!"I will be publishing a series of self-help follow-up articles on various methods that I discuss in greater detail in my book, on many of the ways a Hemet Homeowner can stop the foreclosure.  There are already a number of articles that have been previously published here in my blog and additional ones will be following shortly on the various techniques for stopping the foreclosure of a Hemet home.  The various methods that have been explored and we ...
