A 70,000 SF shopping center is being considered for approval by the Murrieta City Council tonight at 6 PM. The name of the proposed shopping center is French Valley Crossings and would be located at Winchester and Clinton Keith. The proposal includes a two story office building, a tire center and a couple of fast food restaurants. City Council approval is needed because it the site sits on 4 acres of a 40-acre agricultural preserve. So if you're looking to rent an apartment in French Valley (before calling me to purchase a home or condo) there's only 1 choice - but it's a great one! Dakota Apartments - located on Pourroy right across from Brookfield Park - is a fantastic property with TONS of amenities. They have 1 and 2 bedroom apartments that range from 752 SF all the way up to 1200 SF. With high ceilings and crown molding, track lighting, ceiling fans and washer/dryer in each unit . . . this is no ordinary apartment complex. There are 174 units in 8 buildings surrounding the Outdoor Plaza with pool, spa and cabanas. WiFi access in most common areas means you'll be able to surf my blog by the pool when it's time to buy your own home. No weight limit for the pets (though I hear there are some breed restrictions). ...

Hello French Valley Residents! Be sure to join the new group for you and all your neighbors. Just click on this link to go to the page and then click on Join Group! This is a group for residents (and Fans) of French Valley in Winchester, CA. It's a place to post a "Lost Dog" notice or let neighbors know you'll be having a garage sale this Saturday. Local restaurants can let us know about a new "Kids eat free" night and the trainers at Temecula Valley Fitness can encourage us to work off that extra piece of pizza we had.If the lack of parking at any of our parks on a Saturday morning is any indication, this community values family and friends. Hopefully this can be a forum for us to stay connected in-between the sporting activities and our chance encounters at Stater Brothers.

So I'm looking for information about the shops in the French Valley Village Center (the shopping center on the corner of Winchester/79 North and Benton Road) and where should I find the most exhaustive list of stores in that French Valley / Winchester California shopping center? Why, a website dedicated to information on the City of Murrieta, of course! http://www.mymurrieta.com/shop/frenchvalley/fvvc.php has all the details for those who may need to call the pizza place and order a pie to go.

I bought my French Valley home (in the city of Winchester, CA) in April of 2005 with no thought of the area's history or personality. It was a good buy (relatively speaking) and was still close to Temecula and Murrieta where I also list and sell homes. I've recently been digging around trying to figure out why it was called French Valley and where all the street names came from. I'm sure all my neighbors are equally blind to the history of this area since nearly all of them moved here in the last 10 years after finding it was a little less expensive than Temecula and Murrieta but still very close to everything. One of the best sources of information I found was a great article written by John Hunneman for the North County Times. You can see the article by clicking here. (I'm still tryin...

Good morning is in order, it is 6:30 am and I am working on a few files over here. I know, the title is a bit odd, we are halfway to to Feb, so there you have it - and if you can get on track to dealing with being upside down on your home, then I can see more love in your life too.  I thought I would give you an update on something that has been on my mind lately.  Being upside down on your mortgage is never fun, and doing a short sale, has been a painful experience for many people... That however, looks like it is changing, with more and more lenders now moving towards more efficient platforms for processing the short sale, this means shorter turn around times for contracts and offers and just less agony for the seller and the buyer.  In French Valley we have a number of different nei...

Living here in Southern California, we are a family divided by the San Diego Chargers and the New England Patriots. We have finally come together. We are rooting for the Arizona Cardinals to win the Super Bowl. We will be cheering them on wearing our own favorite team jersey's. I know that it will be a good game. Yes, this will be the Steeler's 7th Super Bowl appearance. They have won 5. It would be nice to see the Cardinals win this one. The Cardinals have not won anything since they left Chicago back in the 1940's. This year has already started off making history, wouldn't it be nice to see that continue with a Cardinals Super Bowl win? Go Arizona Cardinals, best wishes!

French Valley is a beautiful quickly growing community in Riverside County. It is nestled near Temecula and Murrieta. Just about every home here is new or near to new with features and amenities buyers look for. Clean, safe streets, brand new schools and parks, with recently constructed shopping centers. Just minutes away from wine country and beaches.
