Market News Below are the North County San Diego zip code breakdowns for first half ending 2014 compared to first half ending 2013. As you can see, homes in the North County area remain strong with only one zip code slightly down. While things cooled in May, June came back across the county  as sales of previously owned single-family homes rose 14 percent and sales of previously owned condominiums/townhomes jumped 16 percent. One big help has been an increase in homes for sale coming on the market. Homes on the Multiple Listing Service have risen nearly 8,000 throughout San Diego County, the highest level since February 2012. The National Association of Realtors said on Monday its Pending Home Sales Index, based on contracts signed last month, increased 6.1 percent to 103.9, the highest level since September of last year. The percent increase was the largest since April 2010, just before the expiration of a tax credit for first-time home buyers, and it beat economists' expectations for a 1.5 percent advance. Encinitas, CA Home Prices Remain Strong Real estate market report for San Diego, CA provided by Rob Denny of Allison James Estates And Homes.   Encinitas Home Prices   Single Family Detached (SFD) home sales in Encinitas Ca,  increased 1 percent to $1,074,295 in May 2014 compared to $1,067,291 in April 2014. Year-over median prices for SFD homes in Encinitas, CA 2014 increased 15 percent, compared to 2013. Detached home sales in North County San Diego continued 22 straight months of sustained year-over median price increases. Median prices decreased 1.49 percent to $562,500 in May 2014 compared to $571,000 in April 2014. The Summerhill Neighborhood in Encinitas CA   The Summerhill neighborhood in Encinitas is located about 1 mile east of the El Camino Real shopping corridor.
