Swami's Beach in Encinitas Swami's Beach in south Encinitas is another of my favorite beaches. It's known internationally as a great spot to surf...so I've been told, not because of personal experience.  This beach, and bluff-top park, was supposedly nicknamed Swami's by surfers after the founder of the Self-Realization Fellowship Center (built in 1937) that is located on the grounds above this beach, Swami Paramahansa Yogananda.  The views are spectacular and when the tide is out you can walk quite a distance. The climb down the stairs, is not for the faint of heart or anyone with any sort of physical issues.  07/23/2016

Now This Is Telling It Like It Really Is Here In Copenhagen, Denmark  Only walked 7 miles today through the beautiful and charming streets of Copenhagen. Love the folks,temperament and lifestyle here. People seem happy and content and really enjoy their downtime.  Won't bore everyone to death with all the beautiful and historic things there are to see and do here. But I'm sure glad it was on my bucket list. Copenhagen is a city surrounded by water and Kanals. You can travel by boat, public transportation, bicycle (most popular mode of transportation), walk or regretfully drive your car (I pity you if you do)  But no matter your mode it's always nice to return to your hotel get a leg up and enjoy a kool  16oz.  Savory Spice Shop in Encinitas~ My Favorite Local Spice Shop ~ I’m a grill guy all year round here in Carlsbad. It wasn’t quite that way back in New England due to the weather, but unless it was snowing or REALLY cold grilling was still an option and preferred. I’m a big fan of rubs for fish, chicken and shrimp, and use a variety of them depending on my mood and what I’m grilling.
