Del Mar Horse Races Opening DayJuly 22, 2022  No doubt horse racing fans are thrilled the annual thoroughbred racing season is coming soon at the Del Mar Race Track for 2022. Indeed, Opening Day is just 1 week from this Friday. Thoroughbred racing at the Del Mar Race Track July 22nd at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in Del Mar, and will run through Sunday September 11th. Opening Day at the San Diego County Fair~ June 8, 2022 ~ The San Diego County Fair will open Wednesday June 8, 2022, less than 1 month from now. One of the nation’s largest, the San Diego County Fair runs through July 4th. Hours are 11 am until 10 pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, and 11 am to 11 pm on Fridays and Saturdays. The fair is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays with the exception of the final day, July 4th. Hours on closing day are 11 am until 10 pm. Each year the San Diego County Fair has an annual theme, and this year it’s “Heroes Reunite!” The Del Mar Fairgrounds are famous for a wide range of events during the year, including trade expos and concerts.
