Yes, finally, this coming July 4th weekend will see the opening of at least the South Bound lanes through the new Confusion Hill Highway 101 by-pass opening Humboldt Up to the outside world!  Caltrans has been working on this project for at least the past ten years.  For as long as I can remember, every winter, when we would drive down south to San Francisco during the winter months, there would be rain and that rain would cause the dirt and gravel from the top of the mountains at Confusion Hill to slide down onto Highway 101 and block traffic coming into Humboldt County through the Redwood Curtain.  Caltrans has had to close traffic each time from 1997 on during the heavy rain season because of this situation.  That would slow tr... 06/27/2009

My clients own a business in the Bayshore Mall here in Eureka, CA and they are very busy people.  They have to open the business with the hours of the mall, and close with the mall as well.  With that said, I respect their work hours and with their business being a family business, they have small blocks of time when they are free to look at houses or sign contracts and disclosures.  Today was no exception.  Knowing that the mall would not be as busy in the early afternoon hours, I strolled by my clients' business to see if they were able to sign some disclosures for the transaction we have going on.  I went by and they were very busy with customers, so I signaled to one of the clients and told her that I would be back later tonight before they close the business, which is at 9pm.  So I... 10/22/2008
