Cotati has a lot of fun annual events throughout the year, but The Cotati Crawl happens weekly.  And it's not really an event per se, it's more of a gathering.  Every Thursday evening, the bars in Cotati brace themselves for their best night of the week, The Cotati Crawl. This gathering is a younger crowd between the ages of 21 to 30.  Most of the crawlers are Sonoma State University Students, whose campus is 2 miles down the street.  The SSU campus technically resides in Rohnert Park, and downtown Rohnert Park could have been the venue for the crawl.  Only one problem though, when the developers designed Rohnert Park they forgot to include a downtown.  Rohnert Park has no downtown.  No kidding. One of the newest communities in Cotati, California is Cotati Station and its annex, Cotati Station Lofts.  The first stage of development is known as Cotati Station and consists of 70 townhomes.  The second phase became known as the Cotati Station Lofts, of which 14 were built and are currently being leased. The population of Cotati, California is close to 7,500 ... that is if you don't count the wild turkeys.  I was drying my hair in my upstairs bathroom where there happens to be a window behind me.  In the reflection of the mirror, there were tiny little faces staring at me.  What the ???  There are turkeys on the neighbors roof!!
