Even then, Costa Mesa, bordering Newport Beach, captured the best of Newport Beach living at a fraction...

C.A.R. strongly supports the intent of Congress and the federal government to calm the financial markets, address liquidity is...

I have been providing a daily market update on all of Costa Mesa for some time.  In an effort to provide more specific information on the different areas of Costa Mesa, I am changing my Costa Mesa Real Estate Minute to provide this more area specific information.  Therefore, once a week, I will be updating each of the five areas of Costa Mesa - Eastside Costa Mesa, Southwest Costa Mesa, Central Costa Mesa, Mesa Verde, South Coast Metro on a rotating basis.  I will also give an overview of all of Costa Mesa Real Estate once a week.   Eastside Costa Mesa is a charming area of Costa Mesa which borders Newport Beach, and, as a result, tends to have higher property values than some other areas of the city. It is bounded by Irvine Boulevard on the east, Newport Boulevard on the west, 15th Str...

In 1920, the people of Harper came to the conclusion that their city needed a new name, a name that reflected where they lived rather than the name of the farm and farmer where it all started. They decided to hold a contest and give a $25 prize to the winner. It was determined that the best entry was made by Alice Plumer who was given $25 and the honor of renaming the city, Costa Mesa, meaning "coastal tableland" in Spanish.  This is an apt name for a city in which much of the land is on a plateau overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Newport Beach and Huntington Beach.   For more information about  relocating to Costa Mesa, California and what a great place it is to live, please see Costa Mesa Real Estate.     For more information on Costa Mesa history, see the following articles: Costa Mesa ...
