Things to Do in Costa Mesa - Pumpkin Patch, Trains & Scarecrows October 4 and October 5, 2014 are the annual Scarecrow and Pumpkin Festival at Goathill Junction in Costa Mesa, located in Fairview Park across from Estancia High School. Train rides are free and there are many activities including rides on the fire truck as well as food trucks for ice cream and shaved ice. Pumpkins are $4 each, and are chosen at a stop in the middle of the train ride. Take the time to pick a pumpkin and enjoy the many scarecrows. Why not stop by with the kids for some fall fun?
