A fav!!! If you love licorice, I mean real licorice! We stopped by today while walking around Carmel with the kids. My husband went in while I walked into another shop...then I couldn't help myself and entered too..thought I would just help the kids select a treat...nothing for me this time..uh huh.sure! I absolutely love licorice and they have the best. All of the imports! I just had two pieces though! If you love sweets and happen to be in Carmel, don't miss Cottage of Sweets on Ocean Avenue. Visited Carmel, California for the first time today: A Love Story..... We took a trip to Santa Cruz this holiday weekend because I've heard so many good things about that city. Well, because it was a 3-day holiday weekend, Santa Cruz, or at least the beach areas of Santa Cruz, were so congested that I just thought "Get Me Outa here!" So slowly southward bound we went.  Passing through Scotts Valley, Monterey, Soquel, and on to Pebble Beach. The golf course in Pebble Beach is absolutely amazing and one of the most beautiful properties I've ever seen.  They are getting ready for the U.S. Open in a couple of weeks, and Tiger Woods is scheduled to play. This afternoon we took a drive along Scenic avenue in Carmel! I had heard that the beach has disappeared during this last storm. The rumor is true! There wasn't much beach today. Usually Carmel beach has lots of beautiful white glistening sand.   The white sandy beach will be back. I enjoyed the storming gloomy day. These photos were taken from my car window!
