Throwback Thursday: Carlsbad Flower Fields in September  The Flower Fields in Carlsbad are a beautiful sight every year, open from March 1 until Mother's Day in May, with 50 acres of brightly colored ranunculas. The fields were gorgeous again this year, but sadly closed soon after opening, with events canceled due to the pandemic and the state Shelter in Place order issued on March 19th. Thankfully they are readily viewed from Armada Drive overlooking the fields and the ocean beyond but no doubt revenue suffered tremendously. The field undergo quite a transition every year, from dirt to green plants to beautiful flowers and back to dirt again. This was the view today on a fairly gloomy summer day.

Bringing Some Joy to Your Day from the Carlsbad Flower Fields The Carlsbad Flower Fields are a joy to behold every year, from March 1 through Mother's Day. This year is a bit different due to the coronavirus, with the venue closing on March 17th until further notice.  But we can still enjoy the fields by looking down from Armada Drive (with plenty of room to maintain appropriate social distancing but still take photos and videos!). My wife and I went out today to do just that, on a gorgeous day with beautiful ocean views in the distance. What a treat to enjoy 50 acres of ranunculas  - I hope you enjoy them as well. In these challenging times we have to remember to take care of our personal well-being, and enjoying nature is a wonderful way to do that.

San Diego Real Estate Blog Should I Buy a Home in 2009 ? I get asked this question every year without fail. I would have to say that my answer is always the same. You should buy a home when you're ready to buy a home. The answer will be different for everybody when asked that question. It's personal and depends on the factors of the individual or family. If the question is, "Is This a Good Time to Buy a Home in San Diego?" then I would have to say it depends. The San Diego County real estate market is different in different areas of the county and in different price ranges as well as for homes and condos. In many areas of San Diego County including the Chula Vista area the 3 bedroom homes priced under $400,000 seem to be in high demand and when they are foreclosures and priced right the...

Rarely does a home of this quality become available as a leasing opportunity. It's rare enough that a home becomes available for sale in La Costa's exclusive Carlsbad Ranch, and even more rare when one becomes available as a rental. This hilltop neighborhood was described by one client as being the "Beverly Hills" of Carlsbad. Why? The streets are wide, the homes are well-spaced from each other and the residences have a solid, understated elegance. The neighborhood is set apart, yet is still close to excellent schools, shopping, restaurants, the beach and freeway access. What makes this residence so additionally appealing is what it has to offer:4 bedrooms, 5 bathsGuest apartment with full kitchen3 fireplacesBeautiful pool on large private lawnViews from almost any windowOver half acre o...
