Can you meet me at 4 pm for a draw in Mill Valley?Sure why not?My office was only 41 miles from Mill Valley, sounds like a reasonable request. Oh, but at 4 pm it is a 2.5 hour ride home. Traffic patterns can be a real deterrent when trying to plan a productive day. On a race day it may take even longer... will take even longer. Sonoma Raceway changes the entire dynamic.I remember when I could get to SF in 20 minutes now, it is about 2 hours any time of day. The saving grace is quite often having multiple stops in an area. Stopping for dinner at the Buckeye Roadhouse is a fun thing to do as well but you literally eat up some of your profits. They have a nice intimate bar area with a few dining booths, much cozier than the main dining rooms.
