Ok I have been looking to have a new web site for quite a while and I know they are just another page in the world of millions, but I have been on some pretty nice sites lately. I have been trying to develop a site that would be somewhere a person could go for new information and real information. I have been blown away over the last couple of months looking at sites all over the country.  I also have been blogging and working it out to where it's not like facebook when I log on and I see where someone went to the store and then had eggs.... At the park on the corner of First St and Military, the local Benicia firefighters set up a memorial.  It was very touching and I watched people slow down to look as they cruised down First St.  People got out of their cars to read the names under the flags. There was a boot for donations.  I put some money in it and it was already full to the top. What a fitting tribute our local Benicia Heros made possible.  It certainly made you pause and think. 09/11/2010

Last night was more than amazing. Peppino and I cooked a full blown Italian meal for some friends in Benicia that bid for it at a Reach Out Benicia auction. While we were preparing the food the family and friends gathered around us in the kitchen and we talked and cooked.  This was one of my favorite evenings here in Benicia, as you could feel the love moving around the home. We met some incredable people with so many stories going from person to person. When we sat down to eat it had a feeling that we had just been transported to Italy. Then right after we had some cheesecake and drinks we were ready for Peppino to play a private concert for the 10 of us. Benicia Realtor Earl Miller goes out one beautiful sunny afternoon to pick a few of his tomatoes and finds nothing on the vines. This season has been a bit on the cold side, as with all the fog and the summer that never showed up. I moved from downtown Benicia to uptown Benicia last year and gave up a wonderful garden and realized I could not live without my Heirloom tomatoes, so I planted 3 large pots and watched them grow to about 6 feet. Within a few months there were tomatoes all over the vines, but large and green. We had a real hot streak in the last few weeks and the tomatoes were turning a real nice red. I wasn't paying much attention to them until yesterday when I got home and wanted a bowl of tomatoes. GONE....yup all of them.....only thing left was a bunch of little green one... 09/09/2010

We are fortunate in Benicia to have a state park in our midst.  It is always busy with walkers, runners, people on bikes and just plain strollers.  You can get as much exercise as you want as there is a 5 mile round trip trail.  There are the beautiful views of the Carquinez Straits and you might catch a tugboat bringing a freighter in along the straits.  On Thursday or Friday night the sailboats whisk along the water grabbing the ever present breezes that help keep us cool in Benicia. At each end there is ample parking for a slight fee.  Some people choose to park outside the park and walk in.  There is water for drinking and to quench your pet's thirst.  For a break sit on a bench and dream a little dream. At the end of the park closest to Columbus Parkway exit we have a new pedestria... 09/08/2010

Hey Benicia folks......it's time to get together with your friends and lose some weight. It sure works much easier with a group of people all with the same goal in mind. I joined the Benicia Weight Loss Challenge about 2 years ago and the first challnge I lost 66 pounds. I took 2nd place, because someone was more determined than I was that challenge. The 2nd Benicia Weight Loss challenge I lost 22 pounds and took first place. I won hundreds of dollars both times and even if I would have won nothing it was worth it.....I just rejoined again, because after about 14 months away I gained 14 pounds....I have lost 11 so far and will weigh in at the end of the month and I will have lost all I gained. Short Sale Happiness!!!!!!!! I know we hear a lot of bad news about Short Sales, but I got some real good news today on one of the short sales I have been working on. Got the call today that both lenders are ready to close and that is great news.  Both BofA and Chase have agreed to wrap it up in the next week. Only about 5 weeks total and my client is the buyer and lives in England and got his choice of a waterfront here in Benicia.
