Things to do in Alameda on July 2, 3 and 4, 2016 Happy Fourth of July to all. Have a safe, fun celebration. Alameda Walks group will hear about “Cohen’s Investment” at 9:00 am on Saturday, July 2 at Jackson Park. Walkers will learn about Alfred A. Cohen, an early resident of Alameda and lawyer to the Central Pacific Railroad. This should be good since it will be lead by Dennis Evanosky and Eric Kos, Publishers of the Alameda Sun. The two will have interesting and amusing facts to impart. The walk will be an hour and 15 minutes. Jackson Park is located at 2430 Encinal Avenue. Please call 747-7529 for more information.
