If you are planning to be in the Pemberton area on May 12th 2007, you might want to consider a fun filled day of golf, dinner, and auction.I am on the organizing committee of the Non Profit Society called A CHANCE FOR KIDS, and we have been raising money and giving it back to the community by way of grants to very talented young athletes from within the Sea to Sky Corridor.To date, we have provided $30,000 in funding to 6 different young athletes, and we are sure that we will see some of this local talent competing in upcoming Olympics and World Class events.The entry fee is $135 (all in - including tax) and that gives you a full day of fun and frivolity.  The format for the golf tournament is a SHAMBLE.  Lunch and Dinner are included -- as is a Golf Cart. What happened ?  Who flipped the switch ???Since the beginning of the year the market in Pemberton BC has been cooking with gas !  For the first time in eons there have actually been some multiple offer situations.  Also, properties being listed and getting an accepted offer in days, not weeks, months, or years !When I started in this business (in 2004), I was told that starting in a slow time was a good thing.  Quote "if you can make it in a tough market, you can make it in any market".  But no one said how much fun a warm / hot market actually was to work in !The tables definitely seemed to have turned and it would appear that for the first time in at least a few years -- demand is outstripping the supply. No of anyone thinking of selling in Pemberton -- I would love the listing ! 03/24/2007
