OMGosh, I started studying the art of Feng Shui today.  It is so amazing.  I started with learning about my self and then about my husband.  Our characteristic environmental representation is different, but the way I see it, it is this mixture that makes it possible for us to survive. My husband and I have been together for 30 years now, and he is still my best friend.  He makes me laugh, I worry about him and him about me, and we share everything together, when it is good for us both.  When it does not make it good for both of us, we either share it apart and then expose the other one verbally afterwards, or neither of us shares, in order to support the other.  But we include each other every day in all out thoughts and feelings.  Communication and compromise have always been the reaso...

OMGosh - I know I promised to write earlier, but I have been so - o - o busy.  I picked up 155 Allen Blocks on the weekend, and with each one weighing about 30 lbs., by the end of the day I thought my arms were going to fall off.  Although I only bought 155, I had to move them into the truck and out of the truck.  I did have a helper, but still, it was really hard work. Today, I put some of them together and it ended up that I had to do it 3 times to get it right.  It was also hard work.  However, that is nothing compared to what I have gotten myself into.  I decided I wanted a pond.  I found one used on Craigslist, and it was operating in someone's yard and it was full of fish, Koi to be exact. Well we dug and pulled it up, moved it, and then my helpers didn't show up to work and I am ...

OMGosh, today the world started changing.  Not only is the sun out, but my neighbor from you know where actually came out and offered the painter to put his ladder on their property by a couple inches, as long as they were not liable. Will miracles never stop to happen?  God is incredible, and life is entertaining.  WOW!!! Just a quick update to the neighborhood. Attended the Community Mtg. last night.  Could not stay for it all, but it was very interesting.  Does anyone have any input about zoning bylaws and changing from a single family residence to allowing suites?  How does this impact a quiet village. Happy Sunny Day to Everyone, even if today is not sunny in your Neighborhood think sunny and smile.

Today was one of those days in the garden, where I just couldn't get enough done or go fast enough.  Yippee.  I transplanted all sorts of things today, moved rose bushes to a better spot, I hope, and transplanted some hydrangias.  OMGosh, they are taking over my yard.  I need to sell some. Also bought two new lilacs and planted them plus moved a bunch of stuff around.  Had a great helper today, and got piles done.  Moved some Bearberry and some other stuff.  What a great amount of exercise.  Well, I have to do laundry, take a soak, and eat dinner.  Starting with the house painting and some work on the yard tomorrow.  Can't wait till Saturday to go to the nursery.  Want to get some new ground cover. Send some pictures to you all soon.  Bless the rain and the sunshine, the bugs and all th...

Today was another type of day.  Exciting and predictable at the same time.  Rain, I mean downpour, hail, sunshine, warmer temperatures, and then cold breezes, not only that but even lighting and thunder.  Yes, just a typical spring day in Greater Vancouver.  If you don't like the weather, just wait an hour, because what comes next, just might be what the doctor ordered. The garden barely had time for the spring blooms, and the wind came an took all the cherry blossoms and spread them all over the ground, like a carpet of pink.  It was like confetti falling from the sky.  It to was beautiful.  All part of the changes coming up. Today, I received an email that was talking about the following foods as fat burners.  Not the way we believe now, but the way we used to believe in the old days,...

I hope everyone in Canada is paying close attention to the tax rate on Housing, and the fact that in BC the HST is most likely coming into effect.  There are many more homes on the market than demand, and in a minute it appears that there may be a big burst in the real estate market on the west coast of BC, Canada. This is just my personal opinion.  Does anyone out there have more knowledge about this and would like to share their views.  Please do.  I look forward to learning from my colleagues.

Today was a wonderful day.  The spirit lifted me into another realm.  Everything is falling into place and working.  I went to church this morning and then to brunch with a friend.  After that I wandered through the Punjabi neighborhood taking in the wonderful sounds, colors, and the smells of foods, spices and incense.  I wandered into shops and touched and admired all the wonderful materials and noted the wonderful intricate designs and stitching.  I admire the work and the colors so much.  I even bought an ooutfit with earrings to match.  Ahh, the beauty in all of it.  Hope everyone out there had a wonderful day.  Tomorrow I start on a new project.  I am very excited.  I will keep you all updated.  Bless you all.

Today I have learned that friends come in all shapes and sizes, but that a true friend is one you can depend on for life.  There is never a problem with a friend.  They take one as they are and appreciate that person for what they offer as themselves, allowing for and admiring the similarities and differences.  Friends allow for your mistakes. Friends support you when you are down and bring you higher when you are up.  They challenge you and they play you.  Thank goodness for the wonderful friends I have now, for the friends of my past that have moved on, and for the friends that I will have in the future.  Always be honest with your friends, and be yourself. Enjoy your weekend, and give a friend a call, just to say you are thinking of them.

Well this weekend we are making progress to become less part of each others lives.  Yeah, things are starting to be understood and working out.  Guess what, that must be her wonderful complying husband. This week I sent an email request for a tree that was branching out to my property to be trimmed.  They did not reply to the email, that is their choice, but they trimmed the tree as requested. No flak, just compliance.  Good.  Maybe this is the first step to separation and appreciation for privacy.  We will see when the husband leaves for work, what his wife comes up with this week, to annoy me. Last week it was moving the property marker on the other side of my property.  Every week something happens.  Ridiculous but becoming very laughable and entertaining. No that the security is ins...

Hi everyone, thanks for all your support.  I am learning and winning the war.  Neighbors around here are something else, and when they are in with the lawmakers they take everyone's time and energy to make their little world run like a concentration camp.  I go away for 11 days and return to be attacked once again.  Oh well, I know the laws, and it is within these bylaws that I live, but they keep trying to keep me in trouble even though they keep failing because I do nothing wrong.  I wish people would stay out of places they are not welcome and would validate their information before they attack, just in case they are attacking on the basis of rumor and not found neglect or wrong doing.  But whatever people do, it is not for me to judge.  I have moved beyond this and I live above this...

Hi Everyone,  I've been gone for ages.  Sorry about that.  Went to see family (in-laws) for American Thanksgiving and then again for Christmas.  First time in 7 years.  Well, "Sheeee's Baaaack", and it is worse than ever.  I can't believe some people have time to spend their lives worrying about what their neighbor is doing in their neighbor's own yard, especially when they are never spoken to, ignored, and left alone. So far, they have: 1.  Called the Ministry of Transportation (like Highway police but to look after the edge of the highway, you know all the trees and stuff in BC) making a false report that I was dumping on their property.  But as it worked out, I wasn't.  2.  Called the RCMP on me, complaining about me putting their cat's poop back on their property.  RCMP said you are...

Living in Canada, on the west coast, it is starting to be that time of year where the heat goes out the holes, cracks, doors, windows, etc. if you live in an old house.  So, what better time than to start thinking about blowing in some insulation to help lower our Carbon-Footprint and lower our energy costs. Well, that was one of our projects, this week.  So, we started yesterday, at 3:00 p.m. mind you, because we finally figured out the correct amount and had to go back to buy 40 more bags, meaning that now we have 66 bags and a blowing machine. I wanted to use Owens Corning with the Atticat machine, it all looked so clean and easy, it was not available and you could not find it anywhere.  So Home Depot and Rona won out. What a messy job.  They said to wear goggles and a mask,  but tru...

Today is one of the days of the continuing saga of the Neighbor from you know where.  I still haven't provided the letter to end the use of property permission granted, but today I got a call from the Ministry of Highways accusing me of putting stuff on their right of way, which they have not used or looked after for 40 years.  Of course I have not put anything on their property, other than branches and stuff that have been cut by the neighbors or blown down in the storm, but it was very annoying that the Neighbor from You Know Where had the nerve to be such a busy body and actually call them on me.  I wish she would just leave me alone and get involved in all her own business. Oh well, I am not ready to move.
