Tuesday at the county court house steps, many investors where out to snatch up deals. One property in particular I was tracking was in Gainey Ranch, an exquisite neigborhood in the central portion of Scottsdale. This property was valued at $980K - $1M. It was previously listed as a short sale for $900K and received several offers, but none that the 2nd lein holder would agree to. I have held unit 162 open for 4 afternoons between December 27 and today.  Amazing to see so many people from Canada.  The exchange rate has really helped the Canadians to be in a buying mood as our real estate is very affordable now. As of today, the Village has 13 units For Sale and 7 units for lease. 3 units sold  between October 07 and January 1st. Sale prices ranged from 269 to 412.Scottsdale housing prices have declined from a high in 2005 December to December 2007 by 20%.
