Using an innovative concept and aggressive advertising they launched the project on October 7, 1928 with a pool christening ceremony including 26 girls in chic bathing suits. It was reported that 4,000 people came and $17,000 in property was sold that day. The cost of a house - $4,325.00, an affordable price in its day!
