Living and traveling in an open range state does require one to be alert for cattle on the road. Yesterday, a Saturday, I was traveling through Dolan Springs, AZ on my way to Meadview, AZ for an inspection. My buyer is out of state. The good  news is I go to all property inspections from HVAC, electrical, home, solar, well, etc.Mohave County, AZ is not known for receiving a lot of rain. We do have some rain during the winter months.  Given that Mohave County is the fifth largest county land wise in the contiguous US, one area of the county can have significant rain fall and another area may experience just a drizzle of rain or none at all.Knowing I live in an open range cattle state and when I am busy with appointments, I always schedule an extra 15 minutes in my travel time for cattle ...

Often we hear this statement about individuals who go the extra mile. In real estate, what does that really mean?  Let me share my most recent story about going the extra mile.Last week in five (5) days I traveled 500 miles with a client who had his older brother along for support and advice. After viewing over 10 properties in 4 different towns, Kingman, AZ, Golden Valley, AZ, Dolan Springs AZ and Meadview, AZ and physically touring 50% of those properties, an offer was made on the fifth day for the property in Meadview, AZ. As Mohave County, AZ is the fifth largest land mass county in the contiguous 48 states (San Bernadino is the largest county), showing clients properties can be an all day event. However with this client who was seeking  homes with a view and at a lower price range, we toured numerous homes over a five (5) day time frame and logged over 500 miles.Now some may say this was quite a bit of seat time, travel time and I would agree. However, the benefit for me was seeing homes that I normally would not see as I prefer selling dirt.Additionally, I became more familiar with Meadview, AZ which is 72 miles away from Golden Valley, AZ.
