Just because we live in the desert doesn't mean we can't enjoy a winter wonderland. The London Bridge Resort has been working feverishly to transform their tennis courts into an ice rink so that they can bring ice skating to Lake Havasu as early as this Friday. The 25' x 68' long rink is much larger than last year's ice rink, allowing for more people to enjoy some ice skating fun at a time. Even though the weather hasn't been particularly cooperative, the General Manager of London Bridge Resort remains optimistic that they will be able to open up their ice rink this Friday, November 30th. One day, two courses, 36 holes, one location. The Lake Havasu Iron Man Golf Tournament comes to The Courses at London Bridge Golf Club on Saturday, August 25, 2012. One course just isn't enough for this tournament. The 36 holes will be played on the club's Olde London and Nassau courses. On the day of the tournament, registration and check-in takes place on the patio of the London Bridge Golf Club at 6am. The tournament itself will begin with a shotgun start at 7am. There will be a three person scramble, gross and net flights and contests for closest to the pin and longest drives. Lake Havasu High School's Knights Golf Team is holding its annual fundraiser for the boys' and girls' high school golf club at Lake Havasu's premiere golf course, London Bridge Golf Club.
