Walter Diemer was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania back in 1904. Sorry but that is all I can find out about him until 1926. He was an accountant for a company who made a particular product. They decided to cut their costs by making part of that product in their factory. Walter took it upon himself to work on the dilemma in his spare time. He accidently stumbled upon a unique recipe. He decided to make the product in a test market offering it at one penny per piece. It sold out in one day.
