Jean Keene was famous for feeding the eagles and taking care of them thru the winter... because of her love for the eagles... She was known through out the world. Dan Rather and CBS featured her, She was featured in People, Readers Digest, National Geographic, Ripley's Believe it or not and Life Magazine. Rush Limbaugh and Jon Stewart both did stories on her too.   Scott Connelly also known as the Land Man… snapped this picture on the top of West Hill the other day… He sent off the Pictures to Fish and Game and got the following message….. Hi Scott, Thanks for the pictures. The moose has papillomas (warts), which are caused by a virus spread by direct contact. We see cases of this throughout the Kenai. It has no apparent affect on the health of the animal. More info on this can be found at http://www.wildlife.alaska.gov/index.cfm?adfg=disease.main  Thomas McDonough ADF&G Homer The good news is they say the moose is healthy… and nothing to really worry about… Just looks real weird! I have shown this to several people and none of them have ever seen a moose with warts! So I thought it was worth sharing…..
