 a Canadian who spent 11 years living in the desert, I am rediscovering the joys of Winter.  Living within the gates at Wilderness Club has it's own special charm during the Winter months.   As This was the view from my kitchen window this morning, isn't it beautiful? What you don't see is the golf course from this angle but Lake Koocanusa is in the back, at the base of the mountians.  Wilderness Club gets very quiet in the winter which is part of the appeal.  You may hear the occasional howling wolves but that's about it for noise.   This winter will be our second full winter living full time at Wilderness Club and I'm actually excited.  Don't get me wrong, I HATE being cold!     Man I love living in Canada, specifically Western Canada.  There is a chance that I'm just extra happy because hockey's back on.
