We all do little things that probably annoy our neighbors, and where I live it's having a less than manicured front yard. And right now, most of the perennials that are blooming in mine look like the flower in the photo.  Now, the guy next door does not totally appreciate my choice, since in a few days the yellow flower will be replaced by a fuzz ball that will shoot seeds into their yard. Still, when I was outside playing with the Picco, I was pretty awestruck by its simple beauty. Now, if I can just remember to go dig it up as soon as the seed pod starts to form!

If you’ve been keeping up with the news lately, you’ve probably come across some articles saying the number of foreclosures in today’s housing market is going up. And that may leave you feeling a bit worried about what’s ahead, especially if you owned a home during the housing crash in 2008.The reality is, while increasing, the data shows a foreclosure crisis is not where the market is headed. Here’s the latest information stacked against the historical data to put your mind at ease. The Headlines Make the Increase Sound Dramatic – But It’s NotThe increase the media is calling attention to is a little bit misleading. That’s because it’s comparing the most recent numbers to a time when foreclosures were at historic lows. And that lopsided comparison is making it sound like a much bigger de...

Happy Tuesday All,I was following a blog by Patricia Kennedy - read it here:https://activerain.com/blogsview/5539151/don-t-be-stupid- And of course I had to leave a comment that was the size of a blog...so Voila...another blog is born.  Patricia's blog was about security cameras and theft and being stupid...and my response was pretty much a story about a broken toilet and my mind thinking I could get in trouble at the hardware store. Here it is (with a couple of minor edits):I have 2 extra office keys in a tiny plastic bag in my briefcase. (My briefcase goes with me no matter what vehicle...but not all vehicles have a key to the office). My other company office is 62 miles from my home. I had the keys made at that town's local Bomgaars store (think hardware store on farm steroids). Today ...

Sweet Dreams may consist of many subjects. I believe I may have had a sweet dream about food like Titus did, most likely during a nap when Carol was cooking something awesome. Most of my sweet dreams are about people I love, and of course the occasional dream of someone I don't know at all. I've always liked the 1983 song "Sweet Dreams" by Anne Lennox & the Eurythmics. It's pretty lacking in lyrical content but the orchestral background is excellent.Of course we Realtors sell the American dream of home ownership and who hasn't had a dream of living in a castle/mansion? Owning a home is a sweet dream and I feel very fortunate to have been able to have my own home(s) since I was 18 years old. The dream only gets better when you find someone to share that home with and even better yet when ...
