OK I know I should have filed a tax return - but life got in the way….     It’s been 40 months (3 years and 4 months) today, since my Geno slipped away. This past week there have been several reminders how fleeting life can be. Grant Schneider left this earth, his family and friends as well as some local, Austin family members. Those left behind are dealing with grief from some unexpected deaths of their loved ones. I feel their pain. This photo is from one of many trips we took to Italy. Initially known as Mayberry Park, this green space was created to serve the residents of the Southernside neighborhood. Since its groundbreaking in the early 20's, this park evolved into many things over the years that ultimately did not serve the community properly. As time marched on, the promise of a true park for the Greenville city residents seemed unattainable.When the park was originally planned, it was the third park behind Cleveland and Falls Parks to be built in the Downtown Greenville area to preserve the city's namesake, and allot "green" spaces for residents to enjoy. Old School-New SchoolLast year was a crazy year in real estate and I'm pretty sure everyone that reads this might agree. While some months were normal to average business wise, there were several months that were not close to 2021. As the year went on, we determined that 2021 was an anomaly and we were more likely tracking with 2020. Our fees increased slightly, so while our number of inspections were down, we were still above in total revenue. The biggest change happened in April when our longtime marketing partner sold their business to a new company for a huge chunk of money.
