Hi Will! That is not a dumb question at all and one that many in our business wish they had an answer to. Initially my business ran me, then I learned that I was the one in control and set limits and set up my business the way that I wanted to RUN IT!

Not a bad question at all Will Hamm . I have a lot more control of my business now that I only do Notary Public work. I did a pretty good job of keeping control of my RE business but there were times I had to work harder than I wanted or I'd have to go apply for food stamps. 😉

This is a fabulous question, Will Hamm !  I think the "nature of the beast" is that this is a demanding business where we're constantly responding to the needs of others.  However,  having systems, boundaries and self-respect to not allow ourselves to be abused is key to controlling it... to the extent that it can be controlled.  I smell another webinar topic here!

It's not a dumb question Will.  That happens to a lot of business people until they take charge and have a good working system in place that keeps things running smooth.  I was fortunate to find that very early on in my career and what a difference it made.  I used to say - Off to the races but it was more like smooth sailing!

The hardest part for me in my earlier years was prioritizing.  I'd assume everything was a super rush.  I was always on high and running myself ragged.  Now, I have systems in place so that there are fewer rush issues that come up within my control.  I run my business ;)
