Called shots used to be a way for members to "recommend" posts for features.  And if you recommended a post to be featured, and it was selected to be featured, that counted as a "called shot".  (Don't ask me who came up with the name).

As Nina points out, it hasn't functioned in what she's called "Donkey's years" (not sure what those are, but they certainly sound like a long time, don't they?)

I remember those...  I actually accumulated 84 of those... but there were some who had hundreds of successful 'called shots' before the practice was discontinued.

I called the shots 38 special times🤣  Merely suggesting blog posts I thought should be featured rather than a reblog.  It's still there because the tech team aka ARMS has bigger fish to Fry to keep the lights on.
