Congratulations! My son was just married in July, these are surreal moments for parents. Having DJ'd over 2,000 weddings I'll share this:

Father Daughter Dance is a nice moment to share a sentimental story with her. A nice toast is often the privilege of the Father of the Bride too. Be sweet with your humor (not embracing) and short with the toast. Let her shine and just be her Dad. Enjoy!

Carry some cash in case there are problems. I can't remember what exactly happened but both Dad's saved the day.

Help & keep her calm.

Support her and her spouse as best you can, and love them.

Just be you, stay out of the way and be there for support if needed. She already knows you are a good Dad! Congrats!

Write a check. Deed to a new house is easy to wrap as long as you don't get a paper cut Bob "RealMan" Timm 

Offer love and support. Don't get drunk at the wedding, lol.

Congratulations again, Bob - continue to be as supportive as you can.  Although I have or never will be in such a situation, I understand, "Yes, dear" is a reply that works well when anything is requested of you.

Don't blink, before you know it, it's over.  Take a moment to take it all in.. take those mental videos and snapshots.  Spend a few quiet moments with her (and if you feel so inclined, with her soon-to-be...) you'll relish those moments.

The father of the bride gets a few moments to address those attending... take advantage of it.. speak slowly, and from the heart.  Nobody expects you to be too polished, too funny, too perfect... just be genuine.

and most importantly... try to enjoy it...your baby is about to be married.  Congratulations!

Your loving nature is at work in your most decent question Bob "RealMan" Timm thank you. TRY THIS:  I loved you all my life, best I knew how. Now, you will have someone else to look over your well-being & to grow with. You turned into a beautiful young woman & I am proud of you. I will never stop being your dad. I look forward to getting to know my new son. I am very happy for you.

When my little girl got married, Father daughter dance was important,  and she wanted the DJ to stay long so, I kick in more money for one more hour.  I made it a point to be on the dance floor lots to show her I was having a good time also.  Since I had lots of family from Pennsylvania coming to Ohio, I did up bags with goods for each of the rooms.
