I understand your frustration Shayne Stone. AI isn't about replacing basic service skills—it's about enhancing them. While human touch is irreplaceable, AI can streamline tasks, provide insights, and free up time for people to focus on perfecting those personal interactions. Think of it as a powerful tool to elevate our capabilities, not a substitute for the essential human element. This issue you are seeing, is people are trying to run with "shiny object AI" when they can't even walk with mastery in their basic work skills. They actually lack the focus AI is designed to provide.

I am not sure I look to AI as the solution to numerous of life's challenges.

If AI can help, OK. The jury is still out. Will the benefits outweigh any downfalls? Time and testing will tell. 

I suspect that many experience your frustrations.

As of now, I am not a fan of AI.   Pics are fake,  I don't need help writing ads, Zestimates are often inaccurate.  

The supply chain has to do with leadership. If AI is in charge, it does what it is programmed to do. The problem? Who is doing the programming?

The tools in retail and restaurants to keep stock at appropriate levels have been around for years. They just need to be used the right way.

We can't fix stupid! 

I think we need to fix a lot of natural stupidity before we work on Artificial Intelligence.  

I feel your pain Shayne Stone but in the right hands, AI can be a tool.  If AI says the inventory is there and needs to be placed on the shelves, for example, a real human must be willing to do it. Many businesses have had trouble finding people willing to work for a paycheck. 

Time will tell, the jury is definitely out. It is about enhancements to our skills and not replacing but we better be watching closely and supervise the developments.

I shop at BJs and I noticed a robot passing by and evaluating the inventory. It needs to be smarter and sharper, lol

Years ago they changed over where they know stock levels, every shelf was digitized. Don't know where you shop.

There is no excuse for not keeping good track of inventory. Delivery issues may be the snag here. 

There is often not a whole lot of "I" in AI.  I was looking at an article on artificial grass and fleas.  The article told me to regularly trim my artificial grass to keep it low so bugs won't nest there.  Yes.  Use a lawn mower to cut my plastic grass.  That's right up there with eating a pebble a day.

I know AI can tell us when our refrigerators (in certain models) are low on items so, we won't run out. AI also does that on a larger scale for stores & restaurants. As with refrigerator reports when items are low that individuals get and pay no attention to, I feel it's user error on the part of the stores & restaurants. When they disappoint customers with missing or unavailable items, that's on the humans in my opinion.

I think there is a question here.  If so, the answer is yes.  A.I. will change the future in every business, industry, and activity for everyone for the rest of our lives.  That is unless something even more useful is developed at some point in the future.

I doubt that AI is the solution to this problem.
