There are recycling centers. BTW, this is such big business that semi-trucks risk hauling recyclables from one state to another to cash in. If they get caught, heavy fines.

I don't think there is a returnable bottle law in Arizona, but I am not certain.  I hate seeing so much litter on the roads.

The Indian on TV always taught us not to litter. We do not litter and yes we do recycle. We get taxed upfront on all bottles and cans. I do not return them, I recycle at the curb.

I am not a litterbug. Washington does not have a returnable bottle law, but Oregon, our neighbor to the south, does.

I am Not one.

Bottle laws dont really work, other than being another useless agency that costs the consumers millions.

Better to have good education combined with strong anti littering laws.

Like Roy Kelley we have a weekly pickup of bottles, cans and other recyclable stuff.

I can remember throwing something out a car window from the back seat when I was a child and my mother turning around and sternly saying, "Don't be a litterbug!"

Don't get me started. AZ is not huge on recycling and my area is very limited. We used to be able to go to City Hall and they had bins for recyclables, they stopped that with Covid and it did not come back. We can go to nearby towns who do have recycling for bottles and cans. Also CA is 10 miles away and they ARE big on recycling.

I am not a litterbug. I pick up a lot of litter and throw it away.

Return Bottle Law?  No.

We are encouraged to recycle.  Given that we pay for bags to put our groceries in and a fee for bottles, money can be made back by taking it to a recycling center.  I do not do that - I let the billion-dollar trash industry capitalize on it.

No one taught me how to be a litterbug, but my parents taught me not to litter. We have refillable water bottles and travel coffee mugs. We recycle as well.

What do you mean by returnable bottle law?  We have a tax on all bottles sold towards recycling.  Is that what you mean?

Regretfully there is no returnable bottle law in North Dakota Andrew Mooers | 207.532.6573 .

I began to HATE litter at the age of 15 when I was a Porter at our local Holiday Inn in Moorhead MN. Especially smokers who tossed their butts anywhere. Even today when smoking is looked down upon I am constantly finding butts along my sidewalk and in the yard next to it.

I wish the police would enforce litter laws but what police officer wants to spend their time doing so with the drug epidemic going on.

no one taught me to be a litter bug and I ain't one, we do not have a returnable bottle law in my locality, recycling is widely available but some refuse carriers have discontinued pick up in the suburbs, but I still recycle at area depositories, and compost as well.

It seems like people are littering more around here.

Our county gives us recycle bins and picks up weekly. Personally I liked when I was a kid and all soda came in glass bottles with real sugar and you could return them for a nickel or dime. I use to pick them up everywhere and return them to buy Baseball cards.
