People who know what they are talking about, are available, and market plus advertise themselves with exposure are LIVING the plan...The rule? You must be IN business to do business.

Absolutely!  It's the road map that will lead me to my desired destination.  Working on refining systems so that I can work smarter, not harder.  Happy New Year!

Yes, it’s kinda a work in progress, I reviewed last years work and I am updating certain areas.  My goal is to work smarter, not harder. 

My business plan, being retired, is easy. Read more, do more with the wife and watch the grandkids. Now it is about the allocation of time.

Focusing on my systems and keeping my focus.

No... when I left the corporate world in 1989 I promised myself I'd never, ever again do a business plan. When I returned to work in 1992, I kept that promise. I've kept that promise to myself since. I've done better than okay for almost 32 years now with bogging myself down with plans. I know what needs to be done and put one foot in front of the other each day and do it. And somehow things always work out.

The main thing I focus on year after year is consistency in my marketing.

He that fails to  plan , has planned to FAIL

Everyone should. Mine is a living breathing thing that remains fairly constant with periodic adjustments.

Yup, stay retired. I'm focusing on helping my children (adults) get started in their careers.

I am trying to systemitize my systems - so I can work smarter too - that seems to be a consistent theme here - I love Debe Maxwell, CRS 's focus on educating our spheres - I send out a bi-weekly newsletter - a little is about the family - Christmas, Lise Courtney's wedding etc - so I am staying in touch and touching them/sharing with them, but it is also about the market and trends - real estate and life style.

Absolutely 100%, John! As I teach agents when given the opportunity to work with newer (and some older) agents, YOU own a business. Act like a business owner/CEO. 

I can't imagine the CEO of say, Nordstrom, declaring it's okay not to have a business plan - with set goals. "Sure, let's fly by the seat of our pants this year!!" LOL

And, forgot to tell you - this year's spotlight is education (for my sphere). I feel that this market dictates that. As well as the current state of our media. Our sphere/clients need the truth and the national media does not have boots on the ground here in Charlotte, NC!

My Business Plan for 2024:   

Avoid the drama and distractions. 

Intention. Focus. Clarity. Execution. 

Nope, I will just continue toward retirement from the day job one day at time and try to achieve my honey do list. 

on paper no, formulated in my mind, of course.  And I've operated that way for 29 years and haven't failed yet.

I have always had one plan and one goal and that is to serve the public and make an honest living.

Absolutely been doing a strategic thinking action plan for now over 20 plus years. This year the focus is increasing my referral business which is now at around 90%. Additionally fine turning my internal processes, so far 6 days in so good. Our firm has a CRM, but for me I need a different big picture, probably because of my past experiences.
