Queen Charlotte meets BMW! - she represents supreme power - power without limitation; freedom, autonomy & supreme excellence. Sovereign often refers to a ruler/royalty. My last car was' Queenie' (after Queen Charlotte) so, I decided to add a BMW twist (power, excellence) to it!

Lise Howe - No, I did not name my car when I bought her new in 2022. It took soooooooooo long for the manufacturer to make her. Since it is National Name Your Car day, I figured it's time I give her a name. What attracted me to the Subaru is the logo with the stars. Today, I named her Blue Star! I looked up the meaning of the Subaru Logo. What I didn't know until now, is "Aries & Taurus share a very good compatibility with each other as they both are fire signs." Furthermore, Subaru chose the logo because: 

"This cluster of stars is better known by the Greek name Pleiades, which is part of the Taurus constellation." Coincidentaly, my spouse was a Taurus. Because I always picked the cars and the color we owned, I think it's interesting I picked one named after a cluster of stars from the Taurus constellation! Even stranger yet, the color of car I ordered (sight unseen) is nearly identical to our first 1969 Dodge Corona!

Very clever Lise Howe . Did you know that Sacagawea is a relatively NEW spelling of her name. Traditionally it is Sakakawea and that is how Lake Sakakawea is spelled. The local native American tribes also say and spell it Sakakawea.

My daughter named mine Hercules when I purchased it back in 2016 and it stuck. Not that I think about it that often.

My grandmother had a car she called Betsy when I was growing up. Until this day, if we refer to that car, we'll refer to it as Betsy.

Had a 1998 red Jeep called Sally. The four kids all learned how to drive in Sally. Sally hit a black bear on I-95 on the trip to Colorado. The longer you have a car, truck, SUV, the more attached a family can become to it, her,  him, whatever Lise Howe! Other jeeps bought new and passed down to the kids over the years. Did not buy my kids new cars. Sally, Celine, Vader..anything but Christine. Given nick names so everyone knew which jeep you are talking about. Personalized beyond just a color and a year.

Hi Lise... can't say I've ever named any of my cars. Probably not likely to in the future. But when I get into my car it does say hello Nina on the screen! I've just never been that "attached" to any of my cars, although I did love and still miss my Mazda RX7... that car could move!

No my car doesn't have a name.  But I haven't asked it either 🤣

 

In college my cousin had an old Dodge Car - big honker that she called Dolly.  She used pink duct tape to put her cars name on the huge trunk.  Everyone knew Dolly around campus!

Funny I happened to see this 2 days after naming my car!  I drive an EV and because it's white, I call her "Pearl."  To me that means she's clean running, no fossil fuels, has saved me a ton of $$, and is dependable!

Ha!  Well played on your car's name.  My Rubicon goes by "Ruby", because it seemed apt when rock crawling for the first time, I found myself saying "C'mon Ruby!" trying to work up a few boulders.

It says Sienna on the side, so that is what I call it, and my older Sienna is called the old Sienna.  Neither of them seem insulted by the nomenclature.
