It depends on many things.  If it is old and does not look good. I would more likely than not, remove it. I do not believe it would add value - in fact, it may detract.

Resale hot tubs? Is there a market for that?  I do not know.

We took ours with us through 2 moves because we used it every day. If your sellers don't want to take it, offer it to be included in the sale. If the buyers don't want it, advertise it for FREE to anyone who will pick it up.

If seller wants to leave, allow the buyer to make the decision. Personally, I prefer not to soak in someone else's DNA...just saying!

I have thought about it many times along with a sauna Peter Mohylsky due to my long history of back issues. If I moved I doubt I'd leave it behind unless my new location didn't have room for them.

subjective question, as others have opined, depends on condition, proximity to access, privacy from neighbors, etc. Can add value to some buyers and a maintenance headache to others, if in good condition, leave it unless buyer wants  it gone, imnsho

The cost to remove incurred by a potential seller offsets the gain in some cases making it not so profitable for the seller however it can work. As far as leaving it, it is eye & thought candy but as far as value? Subjective. Some may consider it a nuisance or an upkeep. Whatever it takes to be rid of it...do it

A new is one costs $1000 to $5000

Depends on how old and how expensive to move it.

Maybe someone will take it away for $300 ?

Value to property $50 - 0 unless it's old a negative value

Leave it behind.  chances are it has aged, and modern technology has improved for a new one at the next destination.

For instance, people with long hair may get it tangled and drown in the tub...mostly unattended children.  Do you have special cutoffs in your hot tubs to avoid this tragedy?  Maybe yours may not have had that technology at your installation year.

I have seen few hot tubs that added value to the property. If the sellers think it is special, they should take it unless they would leave behind an unattractive area of disrepair. If it really is special, maybe buyers will find it to be a plus. I can't see them spending lots so that a used hot tub will be included.

Reminds me of a buyer who bought a house with a hot tub on the deck, with it's own shed-like structure open on one side to the elements. Lots of creepy crawlies in there, and the motor was not functioning.  Sellers had spent a lot of money on it some years ago but now it was just a nuisance to clean it up and try to even make it work.

I would leave it behind.  It costs a small fortune to move it, and eaves a blank area where it used to be.  Make it a selling feature.

Does it work and work well?

We see MANY MANY neglected spas . . . they are hard to move and sellers can forget to maintain them to usable condition . . .

If it doesn't work and can't be restored, get it gone, it's debris.

If it does, make sure it is in good working order, convey it as-is and IDK about buyers there but I personally LOVE LOVE LOVE my Xtreme Spa though annually there's SOMETHING to fix or replace and sometimes it's a DIY like filter basket and sometimes a few hundred bucks to replace jets or a motor . . .

There are as many answers to this question as there are people... some want the tub left behind, others don't want the hassle. We have this come up with playsets in back yards, as well. Personally, I have no interest in hot tubs, so my first request would be to remove it.

It might be valuable to people in FL but here in IL it's just an eyesore. Most people prefer that they do not stay - take your outside bathtub with you please.

Hot tubs are almost a scourge to sell... If a buyer doesn't want it, it's very difficult to get rid of it. Once I had to have one completely chopped up into pieces and removed that way.

It depends. Does it work? Sometimes people don't want the hassle of moving them and just want to pass it on to the next owner. My son had to have one removed and it wasn't cheap. That's after he paid to repair it. Either way, it should be spelled out in the contract.

Personal items that a seller thinks will help a sale that get lost in it. Sell the hot tub for someone itching to own it. That person will pay more than the buyer who says sure, I'll take it but not paying a dime more to have it included in the sale Peter Mohylsky .

Leave it with the property unless it doesn't work.  In the case of one that doesn't function, get rid of it prior to listing.

Depends - I think everyone loves a good hot tub -- when it's a clean, newer, fully functioning device.  If it's old, dilapidated, and doesn't work or feel clean, then it'll likely be more off-putting to buyers

In Denver, a hot tub adds no value, maybe desirability, but lately most don't want the maintenance.   If there is a hot tub, buyers may ask that it be removed.
