Real Estate has by no means bottomed out in San Diego. Multiple offers are back and MBS Highway's Barry Habib this morning in a webinar stated that he's expecting rates to continue to decline and low inventory to create another frenzy - which we're already seeing n pockets of San Diego. We'll know for sure on May 10, 2023 if he called it correct, but the historical indicators suggest he did e.g. last June 2022 he called it too.
Ask Jason E. Gordon to share his thoughts on this too...

Interest rates are still challenging and the Fed will raise rates again soon. That does not indicate "bottoming out". If rates do decline in the months ahead, that will be a different story.

I think that depends on where you are located. Market is doing well in my neck of the woods. Homes continue to go pending and close. Inventory is not as high as it was last summer but no where near the shortage there was in 20 and 21. Many people are moving to AZ for their own reasons, get out of high tax states, reasonable home prices as compared to where they're moving from etc. I consider it a more normal market.

No crystal ball here Richie Alan Naggar so all I can say is I hope so. It's not good when people can not afford a home of their own.

Maybe AI has a crystal ball. Let's see how deep these layoffs that have been quietly happening will go

Lots of folks like to focus on the negative, even when they need to make things up. I suspect the real estate market will be just fine this year.

Business has picked back up in Denver since the first of the year, and if rates decrease we could be going crazy again.

As people adapt to rates that were in vogue when inflation of the 70's was on fire. the market will gain strength if inventory is available. Those with artificially low mortgage rates will dig in and stay.
