I would like to ask what's the methodology you use to request valuation reports? Do you do them yourselves and feed the results to the client(s) or do you usually ask 3rd party independent advisors?

It depends on the report and the end goal. If it's a "Click here for your free valuation report" link on a postcard or website marketing, those are automated. That's lead gen.

If it's for a listing appointment, I do those myself to help determine the list price range. Those take time and require a detailed analysis of the available comps, condition, etc. and then making a comparison to the subject property.
